Kristin Marks is an associate at Fineberg Ramamoorthy LLP. Before joining the firm, Kristin articled at an IP boutique in Ottawa and worked as an associate in an IP prosecution practice in Toronto. Kristin’s training included litigation and prosecution work in matters relating to patent, trademark and copyright law in various fields, including the drug, biotech, and food industries.

Kristin earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. During her legal studies, Kristin was a member of the Technology and Intellectual Property Group and the Faculty of Law Athletic Association. Kristin also served as a research assistant to an Intellectual Property Law faculty member and played intramural volleyball.

Prior to law school, Kristin completed a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Physiology from the University of Waterloo. Her research examined the role of estrogen in regulating fat metabolism, specifically omega-3 fatty acids, using a variety of analytical techniques and molecular models.
